Art School

I managed classrooms with mixed age groups (5-11 yrs, 11-14 yrs) and various learning abilities, with all project material sourced from curriculum.

The above photos are student examples from École élémentaire catholique Mère-Élisabeth-Bruyère (MEB) demonstrating their own re-imaginations of the Toronto cityscape. Watercolour and permanent marker on watercolour paper.

I worked with children in the public, private, Catholic and French language school boards at the elementary level as part of their lunch and after school programs.

The above three images are a made improvisation to adjust to the Pure French environment at École l’Harmonie (“i" as in inchworm” becomes “c comme chenille”).

All student examples were documented in accordance with permission forms signed by parental guardians prior to the programs.

Sunset & Symmetry was a project I designed for Artshine’s attempt to transform its curriculum within a multicultural education paradigm as it expanded into Islamic schools in the GTA.
