Creating [۳] Space (2019 - )

The ‘zine toolkit’ is user-generated content aimed to raise awareness about knowledge production. Designed initially to accompany the presentation and hands-on portion of the workshop, this toolkit on its own serves as an autodidact activity.

Creating [٣] Space is a community-engaged workshop led collaboratively with Ferozan Nasiri, using arts-based methods to negotiate and implement strategies to challenge accepted narratives projected onto Iranian and Afghan communities. The workshop is carefully designed to provoke discussions, definitions, inquiry, and possible resolutions about first and second Afghan and Iranian generation place-making, creating third space and respective futurisms.

This travelling workshop is currently being archived and could not have been made possible without financial support from Rising Youth Grant and Ethnocultural Art Histories Research (EAHR). Special thanks to Afghan Youth Engagement and Development Initiative (AYEDI) and Taklif تکلیف for providing community support.
