Inja Koja (2019 -)
Inja Koja (Farsi for “where are we now”) is an ongoing participatory project that asks its users both in Iran and abroad, where do we situate ourselves within a non-linear understanding of time?
Prompts proposed to users so far have been to define what “home”, “here” and “the future” mean to them. Responses are uploaded on Instagram which becomes an ‘open book’ for members of various Iranian communities to interpret. Through collective discourse, perhaps the generational gap and sense of “otherness” between Iranians both within the nation and abroad can be deconstructed.
