Variations on the Blue Eye

This body of work investigates the effects of decontextualization by removing from context the Nazar, or Blue Eye, and manipulating most of its initial attributes into unusual ones.
Alterations are as follows: the glass medium is substituted for fabric; the shape or form it takes on is an organic one rather than a geometric one, the context is shifted from hanging in a house or around a baby's neck to being installed in a gallery setting.

In changing its state into an unconventional one, the question arises as to whether or not the Nazar's protective feature is translated from a holder’s home or neck into a gallery setting for the viewer. The true answer remains indefinite.
